Tallow Skin Repair Cream with Castor Oil contains just TWO ingredients:

1  BEEF TALLOW: triple rendered, grass fed and grass finished beef tallow (suet)

2  ORGANIC CASTOR OIL: ( cold pressed, hexane free) non comedogenic (won’t clog pores) Castor oil has a multitude of skin benefits and gives the tallow cream a softer consistency.

 ***SCENT IS OPTIONAL we use 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oil which we dilute to 1% of the total amount of tallow cream. There is a large range to choose from

If you have any concerns about sensitivity or you simply prefer no added oils, then please consider our Only Whipped Tallow which contains just one ingredient…triple rendered, pure whipped tallow with all its amazing skin benefits. It’s slightly firmer in colder weather than when mixed with castor oil, however once on the skin, it will spread seamlessly.

 Please note: The consistency of tallow is temperature dependent and changes from winter to summer.  Regardless of the consistency, tallow is extremely nourishing and will melt into your skin when rubbed on. 

 ***If your tallow is firmer than usual due to colder weather, simply put it in a warm area and rub between fingers or palms before applying. Once on your skin, your body temperature will ensure that your tallow cream is easily and seamlessly spreadable. 

 *** Tip, you can use the handle end of a teaspoon to scoop out thin slithers of tallow. This helps to get the tallow out of the jar when it's firmer in the cold months.

WHY WE WHIP OUR TALLOW

🍀 We whip our tallow to create a soft, creamy texture that spreads effortlessly and absorbs beautifully into the skin.

🍀 Pure, unwhipped tallow can feel firm at room temperature — because of this, many brands add a higher  percentage of plant oils than necessary into their balms just to make it smoother and easier to apply. This can leave your skin feeling oily and greasy.

🍀 Tallow naturally contains the same nourishing fats and vitamins found in healthy human skin — making it far more compatible and restorative than any plant oil.

🍀 At Simply Tallow, we take a different approach. By gently whipping our 100% grass-fed tallow, we achieve a lighter texture without needing excess oils or fillers.  This keeps the cream pure and rich, while still feeling silky and luxurious on your skin….…after all, it’s the tallow that’s the star ingredient.

🍀 Whipping tallow is a longer and more labour intensive procedure than just melting tallow with added oils. However, the results are well worth the effort.
