🪴 What is Simply Tallow Cream?

A: Simply Tallow Cream is a pure, natural moisturizer made from grass-fed beef tallow. It’s deeply nourishing and packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K — the same nutrients that naturally support healthy, glowing skin.

🪴 Is tallow beneficial for acne?

A: Absolutely! Grass-fed tallow's antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and skin-repairing attributes make it effective for acne-prone skin. 

🪴 Does tallow cause pore blockages?

A: No, tallow is noncomedogenic. Due to its compatibility with our skin composition and natural sebum, tallow collaborates with our skin to moisturise, soothe, and repair without causing pore congestion. 

🪴 Is tallow cream safe for all skin types?

A: Yes, most people find tallow gentle and non-irritating. It’s especially soothing for dry, sensitive, or eczema-prone skin. However, those with very oily or acne-prone skin should start with a small patch test.

Simply Tallow Cream is not only nourishing for dry skin, but also restores blemish prone and oily skin as it rebalances oil production. This is mainly due to  tallow being so similar to our natural sebum.

🪴 Does Simply Tallow cream smell like beef?

A: Pure, high-quality tallow that’s properly rendered usually has a mild,  scent — not a “meaty” smell. For those with very sensitive noses an essential oil may be added.

🪴 What are the benefits of using tallow cream?

A: It deeply moisturizes, helps repair the skin barrier, reduces redness, and soothes conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

🪴 Why is tallow good for eczema?

A: Tallow contains natural fats and fat-soluble vitamins that nourish and protect the skin barrier, helping reduce dryness, itching, and inflammation.

🪴 Can tallow cream reduce wrinkles or fine lines?

A: Yes. The vitamins and fatty acids in tallow promote elasticity and hydration, which can soften the appearance of wrinkles.

🪴 How do I use tallow cream?

A: Apply a small amount to clean skin. A little goes a long way — it melts with body heat and spreads easily.

🪴 Can I use it on my face?

A: Definitely! Tallow cream can be used on the face and body. It absorbs well and doesn’t clog pores when used in moderation.

🪴 How often should I apply it?

A: Once or twice a day is usually enough…or whenever your skin is dry.

🪴 How should I store tallow cream?

A: Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It can last up to a year if stored properly.

Like any natural fat – including ghee, coconut oil, coconut oil – tallow is softer in warmer environments and returns to a solid in cooler temperatures. We don't recommend storing in the fridge.

A: Yes — it’s from grass-fed and grass finished beef fat (suet) and pure oils, it’s a 100% natural skincare product with no synthetic additives.

At Simply Tallow, we use organic ingredients whenever possible. We source the highest quality tallow (suet) which is produced locally, ethically and sustainably.

Our 100% Australian grass fed and grass finished beef tallow is free from antibiotics and added hormones.

 

🪴 Can your tallow cream be used during pregnancy and  postpartum?

Simply Tallow Cream is free from chemicals and helps nourish the skin with the help of fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins occurring naturally in tallow.

It may be used to help sooth cracked nipples, for stretch marks and dry lips. It also helps to relieve tight and itching bellies.

🪴Can your tallow cream be used on children and babies?

A: Our customers use Simply Tallow Cream on babies and young children, as well as on sensitive skin. We have customers using Tallow Balm to help with diaper rash s well as cradle cap.  Most customers use the unscented version for the youngest and most sensitive.

Although many customers have experienced great results after using our creams, for any questions or concerns it’s best to speak with your doctor.

🪴How long will my Tallow Cream last?

A: Simply Tallow is a water free formula without preservatives or emulsifiers. As such, the stability of our ingredients, even without any added preservatives, means your product will keep for up to one year once opened and stored in a cool and dry place. 

Tallow is also more shelf stable than many plant oils, which can go rancid more quickly because of their high polyunsaturated fat content.

 

🪴Is your tallow cream hypoallergenic?

A: We formulate our products without synthetic fragrances, parabens, petrochemicals, polysorbates, silicons, thickeners or preservatives.
